Kelsall Steele has been operating in West and Mid Cornwall for over 70 years and Perrins was established in North Devon in 1914. Collectively they employ nearly 60 staff. The two acquisitions take Baldwins’ total number of offices in the West Country to six. Baldwins board director Shaun Knight said: “The acquisitions underline our commitment to the Devon and Cornwall business communities. Baldwins’ adoption of cloud technology as well as its state-of-the-art CoZone portal will be invaluable to these practices in the future landscape of the accounting profession.”
Bernard Pooley, managing director at Kelsall Steele, will continue to lead the firm’s Truro office, alongside Malcolm Peters. Chris Birch, director at Perrins, is also staying to lead the Barnstaple office alongside Simon Osment.
Baldwins, a Cogital Group company, now has more than 90 offices throughout the UK, employing over 2,800 staff with an annual turnover of approximately £200m ($250m).
