Russell Bedford has added US firm Cray, Kaiser and upgraded Uruguayan firm MFA Consultores from a correspondent firm to a full member.

Established in 1972, Cray, Kaiser is a multi-disciplinary accounting firm with a strong focus on family-owned businesses.

Speaking of the appointment, Russell Bedford CEO Stephen Hamlet said: “Having met two of Cray, Kaiser’s partners at recent Russell Bedford events, I was struck by the enthusiasm of the partners and their eagerness for firm development, which we shall support through their network membership. Cray, Kaiser is the perfect fit for our ambitious international network.  I look forward to seeing the firm flourish among our other high achieving members as we continue to develop the network in North America, seeking to recruit new members in more states, to strengthen our position in the region.”

James K. Scherzinger, partner at Cray, Kaiser Ltd., added: “As we join this expanding global network, we are excited for the opportunities that lie ahead of us as a result of our new membership. As a highly ambitious firm, our association with a leading global brand is exactly the type of support we were looking for, and we intend to leverage all opportunities via our membership in support of our business goals. Maintaining our high-touch, personal approach while offering our clients access to comprehensive global services is a key benefit of our membership and we are already beginning to build relationships with other members around the globe.”

In Uruguay, MFA Consultores has been a correspondent firm since 2014.

The Montevideo-based firm was founded in 2012 by Federico Moares and Bruno Foggiato. MFA provides a broad range of services including audit, accounting, tax and payroll assistance, and corporate finance consulting.

Hamlet said: “MFA’s commitment to improving service standards and firm growth is a testament to the leadership of both Federico and Bruno. I congratulate you both and your team for your determination and hard work in reaching this level. I wish you ever more success in your new position as full network member and congratulate you again for your achievements.”
