News brief, firm movements: MGI, IAPA, Mazars…

MGI and IAPA UK member firms to merge

Rickard Keen, an MGI member firm in the UK, will merge with IAPA UK member Bird Luckin to create Rickard Luckin, the newly created firm will retain MGI membership, effective 1 October.

Rickard Luckin will report total revenues of around £8.5m according to MGI. The firm will count 13 partners and 130 staff.

Rickard Luckin will be MGI largest firm in the UK.

Mazars acquires remedies and compliance advice firm
Mazars has acquired CompetitionRx ltd, a frim offering remedies and compliance advice in merger control proceedings, competition and state aid investigations. CompetitionRx also provides monitoring trustee services. Justin Menezes, the director of CompetitionRx's Brussels office, has been appointed a Mazars partner and he will oversee the continued development of the firm's trustee services.
