News brief: Andersen Tax wins against India IBA over brand name
The high court of judicature in Bombay, India has announced that Andersen Tax has won the rights to the iconic brand name against International Business Associates (IBA) of India.
On 28 April 2017 the court ruled in favour of Andersen Tax by imposing a permanent injunction restricting IBA from using the brand name. Additionally, the court also handed down a preliminary injunction against a French firm known as Arthur Andersen & Co.
“Andersen Tax will enforce its legal rights vigorously around the world to protect its ownership of the Andersen name,” said Mark Vorstaz, CEO and managing director at Andersen Tax.
