BDO US appoints FASB project manager

BDO US has appointed Lee Klumpp as project manager of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Industry Fellowship Program.

In his new role Klumpp, who is also BDO’s assurance director, will be required to make technical recommendations to the FASB, and drafting Statements, Interpretations, FASB Staff Positions (FSPs), and Implementation Guides.

BDO Institute for Nonprofit Excellence chief executive and national director Wayne Berson said Lee was “the clear choice for this fellowship” due to his experience as the current accounting and auditing technical leader for the non-profit and education practice.

"His role will be of great benefit to our clients as they work to understand and implement future FASB standards."
