Baker Tilly International elects new CEO

Baker Tilly International board of directors has unanimously elected Ted Verkade as CEO and president, effective June 2016.

Verkade, an auditor by profession, has been a partner for 20 years in the network's Dutch member, Baker Tilly Berk. He now serves on the firm's board of directors.

Verkade has been Baker Tilly International regional chairman for Europe, Middle East & Africa for 10 years and during the last five years has focused on setting the strategic direction of the network.

He will take over Geoff Barnes who will retire but remain a member of the board.
